San Domenico School and the Kairos Center/Stepping Stones Project invite you to join us for a special opportunity to connect and collaborate with fellow educators, students, and community members in pursuit of a healthier and more sustainable future.

This day-long event offers a wide range of workshops, for both adults and youth, a forum for networking, and among other things, a panel discussion with many leaders in the Ecoliteracy movement. All participants will be provided with a healthy, organic, lunch.

Adult workshops for teachers, community activists, and all adult allies include: Greening Operations & the Audit Process, Introduction to Permaculture & Landscape Regeneration, Garbage to Gold, Ecoliteracy Panel, Educating for Sustainability: A Whole School Approach, Community Resources, Sustainability in the Curriculum (including take-home lesson plans & state standards), and Social & Environmental Justice in Marin.

Cutting edge youth workshops include: We Are What We Eat, GreEnergy, Earth Activism: Right Livelihood, Sustainable Gardening Practices: School Gardens & Green Operations, The Sustainable Living Roadshow, Conscious Consumerism, and Students Leading the Ways.

Please come join us! Together we can create the future we wish to see.

An inspiring evening to honor Marin’s leading youth activists and their supporters

Next Generation's Fifth Annual Marin Youth Activist Awards Ceremony was a great success! More than 200 people attended, including 40 young leaders and 15 adults who received awards for their work for peace, social justice, and sustainability. We were moved and inspired! Young people across Marin are doing incredible work for people and the planet!
High school students are promoting healthy food and tackling global warming. Middle school students are biking to school and cultivating school gardens. Elementary school students are recycling and conserving energy. And youth of all ages are taking action for peace and social justice.

Join Next Generation for one of our most special and inspiring events of the year:
an evening of acknowledgement and celebration to honor 100 kids, teens, young adults, and leaders in our community and the amazing work they are doing to make our world a better place.

Special thanks to Good Earth Natural Foods, Marin Link, Sweet Earth Organic Chocolates, the Fairfax Community Church, the Agape Foundation and the Marin Community Foundation for their generous support of this ceremony and many other Next Generation events.
